    About Jocelyn Turner

    Jocelyn Hund Turner is a renowned teacher of strings and piano has been teaching private lessons in the Frisco-Plano area for over 20 years. A professional violinist, violist, and pianist, she plays with Las Colinas Symphony, Garland Symphony, Symphony Arlington and McKinney Philharmonic. Turner holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied chamber music with the Grammy-winning Takacs Quartet as well as jazz, bluegrass and composition. Ms. Turner continued her classical and jazz studies at the University of North Texas earning a Master’s of Music in violin performance with an emphasis in jazz studies and music theory. These days Jocelyn Turner leads Region audition clinics, sectionals and a teaching studio serving Frisco, Plano, Allen, and McKinney. A mother of two, ages 5 and 4, Ms. Turner enjoys camping, attending concerts and yoga.
